I am looking to sell my Lincoln Park condo. I moved to Denver in April 2018, and I rented out my unit to a family friend. She has moved out, and we are looking to sell the condo. I am looking for some help in selling and doing some due diligence.
My real estate agent wants to charge me 6% which is a little high for me. Considering what I paid for the unit, plus the money and work I put in to fix the interior, a 6% commission would almost erase any profit on this potential sale. I was thinking of listing the unit for $215,000 and selling for around $205,000.
What can you do, that my real estate agent can’t? I saw that you would charge a 5% or 6% commission, depending on what level of service I choose. I would probably opt for the 5% commission if I were to sell with you, but I would like you to make a case for why your services are worth the 5-6%. I don’t want to go through listing on my own on Zillow, especially since I am living in Denver. So if I have to pay a commission, I might as well get the most bang for my buck.
